What makeup brands do I use?

Good question! Looking for a makeup artist can be daunting sometimes. You would want to know what is applied on your skin. Rest assured, Clarette only uses trusted brands and the best quality products on all our clients. Some of these include Aleph Beauty, Fenty Beauty, Makethemake, Tarte, Hourglass, Too Faced, Ben Nye, Makeup Forever, Benefit, M.A.C, Morphe, Modelrock, Matrix, Davroe, Loreal and more. We only use products that are known to have great results and reviews or that we have personally tested before we use them on you!

Can I book a trial/Preview first before my wedding?

Of course! I absolutely encourage booking a preview before your wedding. It's not just about testing out different looks or services – it's about creating an experience that's tailored specifically to you.

It’s a preview of your hair and makeup for YOUR big day. It's your chance to share your vision with me, and together, we can bring it to life. Whether you're dreaming of a classic, elegant look or something bold and adventurous, the trial is where we fine-tune every detail until it's just right. But beyond the makeup and hair, the trial is about building trust and connection. It's my opportunity to understand your unique style and personality, so when your wedding day arrives, you can feel confident knowing that you're in good hands.

How should I prepare on the day of my booking?

Makeup - Please exfoliate your skin and lips one or two days beforehand.

On the day, please ensure your face is clean, no product on your face (moisturiser and sunscreen is fine) prior to makeup booking.

We recommend getting your brows shaped and facial hair removed in preparation of your appointment date.

Hair - Must be washed the day before (shampoo twice and use conditioner), to avoid greasiness and fully DRY with no oily or cream product. If you have frizzy or curly hair, please either blow wave smooth or straighten your hair before your appointment so that we can get started on the look straight away!

Environment - Have a chair and table (ideally near natural light) and close to a wall plug ready for us to set up when we arrive. Please minimise distractions during your service.
